Virginia SCC Post Technical Conference CommentsCase Comments for PUR-2024-00144SCC Ex Parte: Electric Utilities and Load Growth
We submitted comments to Virginia's State Corporation Commission following their technical conference on data centers and electricity load growth. Key points were:
- Consumer Regulated Electricity (CRE) will help speed the delivery of new electricity supplies.
- CRE won't impose new costs or risks on taxpayers or existing ratepayers.
- CRE will be able to innovate much more rapidly than the current sector.
- CRE will reduce the risk of overspending on regulated grids, the cost of which would be borne by existing ratepayers.
Please contact us if you'd like to know more about CRE and how it can help with the electricity challenge in Virginia or any other state. And follow us here on LinkedIn.
